Recording artist singer/songwriter, Lois Mahalia, had her first big song Smile on YouTube, with over 1.6 million hits, and has gone on to perform, record, and tour with artists such as Kenny Loggins, Joe Sample, Norman Gimble, and Joe Walsh.
Lois began singing at the age of 5 on stage with her brothers in South America where she was born. She moved to the US in 1989 and continued singing in churches with her musical family. Through the years she’s performed across the US and in Italy. In 2004, Lois performed in Las Vegas and won the Legend of the Year contest.
Lois recently finished touring throughout the US with Joe Walsh as he promoted his first new CD in 20 years. Performances included TV shows Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America and Crossroads on the Country Music Channel.
Now, Lois Mahalia is releasing her first jazz solo album
Standards with a talented group of musicians performing songs like Summertime, Favorite Things, What a Wonderful World, and God Bless the Child, among others. This project will fund her next album of original songs that she has already started recording and plans to release in 2013.
